Eat Real Food!

There is no "Easy Button"

As much as I want this website to be only original content and focus on giving people a unique nutrition resource, there will be times when I come across some information that I can't help but share. This will not be very often because I will only link articles that have proper sourcing and don't rely on anecdotal evidence.

On a quick side note this is a very important thing for everyone to understand. The internet is a wonderful, often free, source of public information but you have to be very careful. Especially in the realm of nutritional information, articles and information on the internet is often based on a single person's perspective and has little to no fact checking. In short, be careful who you listen to!

Anyway, this article that I am linking you to does have sources listed and is an excellent example to remind people that: 1. There is no "Easy Button" to diet and nutrition

2. The field of Nutrition and Dietetics is constantly shifting and learning from the availability of new information and studies

3. Every single person is different and there is no "best method" that will help every individual lose weight and be healthy

The article was originally published on mosaicscience.com and does an excellent job explaining why the fundamental idea that "counting Calories in your food is law" is not as hard and fast as you might think. I will give you the link below if you are interested in reading a slightly in-depth nutrition related article. Enjoy the read!

(Thank you to my friend Drew Sheldon for sharing this article with me initially)
