Pick-your-own farms, sometimes called "u-pick", are farms that allow you to come into their fields and hand-pick exactly what you want. It can be a lot of fun to visit a farm and get your hands dirty. Often, pick-your-own farms offer prices much cheaper than a grocery store or even a farmers' market. The farmer doesn't need to pay for labor and offers minimal packaging--and you get a fun experience and cheap produce... What's not to love?

It's unsurprising that a website called pickyourown.org is the best place to search the country for pick-your-own produce locations. I have personally used this site for Wisconsin and it's wonderful.
Bonus: They have canning, freezing, and preserving recipes for when you undoubtedly pick too much!
