Harvest Charts

In the Finding Your Growing Zone post, I linked everyone to the USDA agricultural zone map of the United States. Now that you know what "zone" you live in, you can check out this spreadsheet that I put together. It's not the flashiest design, but if you click on the tab with your zone, you can see when the peak season for each vegetable is in your location!

The planting dates, growing times, and harvest times are based on University sources that you can find in the sources tab. They are all approximate and can vary depending on the weather, planting schedules of local farms, and a whole list of other reasons. It took quite a while to find all the information to make these easy-to-use charts, so I hope you enjoy. : )

These charts are a great way to remember when you can look forward to some fresh produce in your area! Now that you know the basics I will hopefully--personal time permitting--be posting some of my first recipes for seasonal cooking!
